Mr van Daal from Eindhoven found in the attic of his mother-in-law in Heilo (NH) an old chest with a hidden radio. A remnant from the 2nd World War.
Because they were not allowed to have radios during World War II they hid them in books or boxes, so that the occupier could not find the radio. People listened secretly to “RADIO ORANJE”. The fragment that you hear on this page is Queen Wilhelmina during the first broadcast in June 1940.
This radio will get a place in our air war and communication Hall.
